21 Jul ISO 45001 implementation
At Obres Tècniques Lloret we have implemented an integrated management system based on the model UNE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, to maintain and improve the quality of our services. In this way, we guarantee compliance with international quality standards.
Up to now we had implemented the OHSAS 18001 standard and we have now make the transition to ISO 45001, the new international standard for the management of Occupational Safety and Health.
This change has involved updating all the requirements that we already applied with the previous standard to much stricter ones, renewing the whole management system, and integrating ISO 45001 into the rest of the system. The main purpose of this standard is to assist companies in their task of preventing accidents, managing safety and health at work. Protecting workers and visitors from accidents and occupational diseases.
Some of the benefits of ISO 45001:
- Continuous improvement of working conditions.
- Improved incident management, thus reducing downtime.
- Easier communication with suppliers, customers and collaborators in other countries.
- Reduction of premiums and insurance costs and the general costs arising from incidents related to safety and health.
- Encouraging employee participation and consultation.
By periodically evaluating and reviewing our integrated management system, we ensure that we always have the best Occupational Health and Safety System.
